The latest on the Texas polygamy ranch case is that parents are being reunited with their children after a bust went down and was found to be improper. I'm of mixed feelings on this one really. One the one hand I'm mad that the bad guys have won yet another victory. On the other hand, I'm glad the courts have made the decision, because a search warrant wasn't obtained, meaning that post 9/11 search and seizure methods were being used and somebody had to put a stop to it.
Anyway, according to CNN the ranch is now going to clarify their position on marriage, about how it can only happen when the members are of legal age.
Excuse me? "Clarify" their policy on marriage? I might not be the brightest person around, but I thought clarifying involved informing the misinformed about what you actually meant. I've seen nothing to even suggest that they were misunderstood by the public, in their practice of forcing 12 year old girls to marry 60 year old guys and get raped by them. Do they actually expect us to believe that such a policy wasn't their intention, that they meant something else entirely?
